wine bars are the new pinkberry.

dude, i love wine bars. i keep hearing about this wine bar called vinum populi where you buy prepaid cards that allow you to sample several different wines from self-serve stations. like a soda fountain, but with wine. and then jenn also found this secret wine bar on yelp. just the fact that it is SECRET is completely irresistible. the bar could just be an empty room with concrete floors and a shoddy folding card table with wine served in red party cups and i would totally be sold, because it is a secret wine bar. being in on the secret...that makes it special.

hello i lost my phone!

we were at lola's last night and on our way out, i realized i didn't have my cell phone. it wasn't on the table we were sitting at, it wasn't on the floor, it wasn't at the bar. and i thought it might be in the bathroom. i look around in the bathroom, cannot find it, try to ask a bartender if he's seen a phone, go back into the bathroom to look again. then some rude employees yell at us to get out, "your phone's not in there!!!" i may have said something mean in return. they were not happy. that pretty much guaranteed that i would not be getting my phone back.

but, it's ok. i dug up my old cell phone. now all i need is your digits!

Jesse: That's so wild. I mean, I always think that I'm still this thirteen year old boy, you know who just doesn't really know how to be an adult, pretending to live my life, taking notes for when I'll really have to do it. Kind of like I'm in a dress rehearsal for a Junior High play.

so, when does life really begin? is it when you get that job promotion, or you meet that special person, or you get married, have a kid, what? am i going to just wake up one day and be a grown up? cuz right now, i still feel like a newbie [noob!] at life. there's still so much to do.

but, i think i like it that way.
